Important event: Litigation with IASITEX SA - a company from SIF Moldova portfolio

SIF Moldova as a defendant was sued by IASITEX S.A. Iasi, as a complainant, in a case file having as its object "the action for finding a minority abuse by the defendant and the ordering of the payment of EUR 4,437,267 in damages and court costs".

The case was registered with the Court of Bacau under no. 1848/110/2018.

By communicating the court decision registered at SIF Moldova under no. 5429 of October 12, 2018, it is certified the cancellation of the request made by IASITEX S.A. regarding the payment of EUR 4,437,267 by SIF Moldova and it is ordered the continuation of the procedure with respect to the first application for minority abuse.

We would like to state that SIF Moldova holding of 29.04% of the share capital of Iasitex is a part of the Sell Portfolio (non-performing holdings resulting from the mass privatization program) and represents 0.18% of the total assets under management.

SIF Moldova will treat this litigation diligently, although the accusation of "minority abuse" is groundless, given the fact that SIF Moldova must pursue its interest as a shareholder in any company.
